Our goal is to help merchants let customers save and share wishlists on their storefront, while ensuring complete data privacy and compliance with Shopify's standards.

Information We Collect

When you install or use the Apus Wishlist app, we may access or collect certain types of data from your Shopify store to deliver the app's functionality.

Permissions (Access Scopes) Requested

The following permissions are required:

• read_products – To fetch product and variant details (title, image, price, availability) needed to display wishlist items and power the wishlist page and cart actions.
• read_themes – To check whether the wishlist widget is correctly embedded in your store's theme.

These permissions are used strictly to display wishlist functionality on the storefront and to let merchants manage wishlist settings. We do not request or use any permission beyond what is necessary for the app to function.

Data You Provide Through App Settings

When you configure the app, we store:

• Wishlist button settings (icon style, colors, placement, labels)
• Wishlist page settings (title, description, text and button colors)
• Low-stock indicator settings

Customer Wishlist Data

To provide the wishlist feature, we store the product handles a shopper has saved, associated with either:

• A randomly generated visitor ID (stored in the shopper's browser), if the shopper is not logged in, or
• The shopper's Shopify customer ID, if they are logged in — so their wishlist stays available across devices.

We do not collect names, emails, addresses, or payment information as part of the wishlist feature itself.

Technical Information

We may also collect limited technical information such as:

• Browser type, time zone, or general usage statistics (for performance monitoring only)
• Information stored temporarily in browser cookies or localStorage for session management (e.g., visitor ID, saved wishlist items)

How We Use the Information

We use the collected information solely to provide and improve the app's features. Specifically, we use your data to:

• Display saved wishlist products and their details to the shopper
• Let shoppers add wishlist items to cart, individually or all at once
• Let shoppers share their wishlist with others via a link
• Show merchants an analytics dashboard of top-wishlisted products, based on aggregated, non-identifiable counts
• Verify correct installation of the wishlist widget in your theme

We do not sell, rent, or share any merchant, customer, or store data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

How Long We Store Information

We retain only the information necessary for the app to function properly.

• App settings – Stored until you uninstall the app.
• Wishlist data (visitor ID / customer ID + saved products) – Stored until the shopper removes the items, or until the app is uninstalled.
• Session data – Deleted when the customer's browser session ends.

When you uninstall the app, all associated configuration and wishlist data are automatically deleted from our system within 30 days.

If you would like to verify, update, or delete your data earlier, you may contact us directly at apusdevs@gmail.com.

Marketing

We do not send marketing emails or promotional content without your explicit consent.

Our communication is limited to product updates, support messages, and important service notifications.

About Cookies and LocalStorage

Our app may use cookies or localStorage in your browser to:

• Maintain a wishlist for shoppers who are not logged in
• Maintain user sessions
• Improve app loading and interaction speed

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may affect certain app functionalities (e.g., remembering a guest wishlist between visits).
